Who We Are
Philosophy Of The Quesnel And District Minor Hockey Association
- The QDMHA believes that every person who wants to participate should have the opportunity to do so at his or her level of skills and level of interest
- The QDMHA is committed to providing leadership which will ensure the best environment for a quality hockey experience
- The QDMHA will assist and provide services for female hockey
- The QDMHA recognizes that hockey is a major influence on its participants and on our community and believes that these influences should be positive
- The QDMHA provides leadership to all minor hockey in Quesnel
The QDMHA believes hockey exists for players individually and collectively and that the volunteers who make hockey possible are the foundation of the QDMHA
Code Of Ethics For Traveling Teams
- Dress accordingly with slacks, shirt, tie or other appropriate attire as approved by coach
- Show respect for the hosts while in other arenas, you are an ambassador for others who will follow
- You conduct must represent the goals and expectations of the QDMHA
- Do not use profane language on or off the ice
- Abide by all team rules and curfews
- The use of any alcohol or drugs including tobacco will not be tolerated
- Any violations may result in discipline at the team and/or Association level
QDMHA Concession
The Quesnel Minor Hockey concession is of vital importance to our association, and to each of the members involved. As our concession is fully run by volunteers we, as a membership, receive many benefits that other hockey associations do not.
What does our concession do for us?
- Pays our referees (about $13,000 per year)
- Buys new equipment (goalie gear, pucks, cones, etc)
- Provides participation fees for each team to go to an out of town tournament
- Keeps our registration costs low
The concession raises approximately $186 per player registered in our association. The $50 concession fee does not even come close to covering that amount. That is why it is so important that each and every member family complete their volunteer hours.
Equipment Information
Goalie leg pads, belly/arm pads and goalie sticks are available from QMH. This equipment can be signed-out and used free of charge for the year.
Arrangements can also be made for anyone needing goalie equipment for summer hockey school.
